About Crystal
I am licensed by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT102398), working in private practice in Oakland, CA. I received my clinical training from the American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University, San Francisco where I also earned a Master’s degree in counseling psychology.
Being a therapist is something I have always wanted to do. It is more than a job or profession; it is my passion and calling. It is an honor and a joy to be involved in the process of helping people live more fulfilling lives.
I believe that we are generally the experts of our own lives and strive to do the best we can. Sometimes, however, things can happen that cause us to get lost and overwhelmed by our emotions. We just don’t know what to do and need a little help to get back on track. We may even be stuck in certain thought and behavior patterns that we know are not good for us, but we just can't seem to let them go. Therapy is a great way to sort all of these things out in a space that is safe, welcoming, and inclusive.
I approach therapy in a holistic way: Meaning that I am interested in a person's entire well-being rather than just focusing on the problems they bring into therapy. I also use a mix of therapy styles that allows me to flexibly work with each client based on their unique, individual needs and goals. Together, we can work to get you moving in the direction you decide is best. When you are ready, I invite you to contact me so that we may take the next step on your journey.
